Who prepares the content
Vida Protegida prepares educational information using publicly available materials from regulators, government agencies, consumer protection organizations and relevant technical documentation. We do not claim unverified authors, professional reviewers, agents or licenses. Until an actual external credentialed review occurs, articles are attributed to Vida Protegida.
The platform provides general information and inquiry referrals, not insurance underwriting or agency services. See our Transparency page.
How we choose sources
For financial, tax and regulatory assertions, we prioritize primary sources including NAIC, IRS, state insurance regulators and Investor.gov. When using an insurer's educational material, we identify its origin and do not generalize product-specific contract terms.
External references can change; visitors should verify the current contract, applicable law and state-specific rules.
How we describe calculators
Results are mathematical illustrations using visitor-selected assumptions. We document formulas, limits and the items that are not estimated. We do not present figures as insurer-issued illustrations, guaranteed returns, quotes or surrender values.

Corrections, updates and contact
We review material when substantial errors are identified or relevant sources change. We date substantive updates and do not change dates merely to make content appear newer. To flag an error, broken source or unclear claim, email info@vidaprotegida.org with the page URL and passage at issue.
Articles do not replace individualized professional advice or independent regulatory compliance review.
